الإعلان عن صدور كتاب روميو العراقي
صدرت عن منشورات المتوسط -إيطاليا، مجموعة قصصية جديدة للكاتب العراقي، المقيم في كندا، ميثم سلمان، حملت عنوان "روميو العراقي"، ستُّ قصصٍ تتّخذ من العراق مسرحاً لتفاصيلها الواقعية، وإن بدت، سوريالية وهي تتبّع خطَّ سردٍ صادمٍ ليست مهمَّته مداراة بشاعة الذي حدث في حروبٍ تعدّدّت أشكالُها وتسمياتُها؛ وضحيتها الإنسان، حتّى وإن غيّرت مسرحها إلى حديقة عامّة في كندا. فالعنفُ هنا فعلُ إدانةٍ، مكتوب بحرفيّة عالية.
في مجموعته القصصية الجديدة يكتبُ ميثم سلمان قصصاً تروح وتجيء بين الحياة والموت، مثل حبالٍ متشابكةٍ لا هي بمأساةٍ نهائية، ولا هي بمنجاة، لكننا لا نملك إلا أن نتمسَّك بها. إذ لا خلاصَ من الرعب الذي سيطاردنا معَ كلَّ مشهدٍ أو حكايةٍ، وسوفَ نكونُ، نحن القرّاء، على موعدٍ مع كاتبٍ لاذعٍ مصيرهُ لم يتغيَّر، بتغيُّر الأزمنة، كما كان يعتقد. وسنرافقُ جثة روميو العراقي، وهو يسردُ حبَّه لليلى وكيف دسُّوا في جثته عبوةً ناسفة، بعد أن اقتلعت أيدي الظلام رئتيْه. حتّى الحلم بتحقيق رغبة أمِّه في تعليم دجاجتها الطيران والسباحة، سيكونُ كابوساً متسلسلاً تنهالُ على بطلهِ ضرباتُ السيوف. يطالعنا الوهمُ كحقيقة، بل أشدّ صلابةً منها، حين يكون مدعاةً للقتل.
هي قصصُ حربٍ أهليَّة، واحتلال واعتقال، وحبّ وتضحية، يمعنُ فيها ميثم سلمان، كما يأتي على لسانِ أحد أبطالهِ، في التفاصيل الصغيرة، دون إيحاءات، وإنَّما بلغةٍ تستدعي إليها الخراب لتحوِّله إلى مادَّةٍ قصصية مرعبة، فائقة الجمال في الآن نفسه. وحينها يصعبُ التنصّل من الواقع بكوابيسه وجرائمه، كما أحلامهِ التي تتدلّى من شرفات السرد، كنبتاتٍ منزلية تقاومُ العطش والإهمال والموت.
هناكَ أكثر من قصة داخل القصّة الواحدة، توليفة عجيبة من المشاهد المتسارعة، والمتداخلة، تنصهرُ في فعل الكتابةِ بطريقةٍ تذيبُ الحديد الصلب وتُبخّرهُ، انتصاراً للذاكرة والأثر والرغبة الملحّة في سرد قصص أشخاصٍ عاديّين، لم تكن حياتهم يوماً عادية. يستهلُّ الكاتبُ إحدى قصصه بمقولة لـ كارل يونغ، تقول: "إن العالم الذي نولدُ فيه عالمٌ موحشٌ وقاسٍ، وهو، في الوقت ذاته، عالم بالغ الجمال"، وربّما أراد الكاتبُ يقول لنا إنّ قصصه محبكة بهذا التناقض، حين يستوقفنا في بداية الكتاب، لنقرأها بعيونٍ مُغمضة كي نرى أحلامه أكثر وضوحاً.
"روميو العراقي" مجموعة قصصية جديدة للكاتب العراقي ميثم سلمان، صدرت في 96 صفحة من القطع الوسط، ضمن سلسلة "براءات"، التي تصدرها الدار وتنتصر فيها للشعر، والقصة القصيرة، والنصوص، احتفاءً بهذه الأجناس الأدبية.

Reading
these short stories, I experienced the pleasure and joy I’m sure they would
provide to readers, provision of which should be the most important objective
of any work of art.
The
author, Maitham Salman, bases his stories not only on attractive storytelling
and painful themes, but also in his ability to create a
wide variety of narrative spaces that elevate reality to exoticism capturing the
surreal nature of reality itself.
In these stories, narrative timelines constantly overlap. The author engages with his characters, and subtly controls their affairs in a way that hides the fact he is doing so. He succeeds in giving an impression that the characters are living their own lives and not lives dictated by the author’s hand.
Salman manipulates his stories through a highly accelerated mode as he has done in his novel Husks as big as my Country. This acceleration mode, which I’m by no means equating with hastiness, may be a reflection of his mind congested with memories, experiences and ideas that are bursting to be expressed and revealed.
Salman uses smooth and clear language, but one that here and there contains irony and parody, and metaphors that lend themselves to a variety of interpretations. He makes good use, furthermore, of dialogue and descriptive scenes to dramatize his work. His approach helps readers to understand Iraqi-related psychological themes and humanitarian concerns. These themes and concerns include frustration and fragmentation, as well as an alienation that provokes nostalgia, and a nostalgia that provokes alienation.
